Applied Poetry

Locally sourced plants, expertly wildcrafted with love

Welcome to Applied Poetry

My name is Paulina. I am a forager; a lover of wild Yeast, and a witch.

I do not use Plants but, rather, collaborate with Them. I transform seasons and landscapes into edible and drinkable experiences. I call it: Applied Poetry.

An Ecological Collaboration

Crafting responsibly

My approach to my work is rooted in care for the environment. By gathering only what is necessary, I ensure the preservation of plants and a healthier ecosystem.

Interview with Ferment Radio

I’ve had the honour of being interviewed by the talented Aga Pokrywka on her podcast, Ferment Radio.

Getting to share my work and witchcraft with other passionate people in the world of fermentation, was truly an amazing experience.

If you are curious about my work, have a listen.

Episode Description

She asks the plants for permission before foraging them. She sings to her fermentation jars. She prepares funerals for her kombucha scobies. She gives names to her ferments. She observes the moon cycles. She’s a witch. But what does it mean to be a witch today?
